Lyn’s Crafts News – Aug 2018

Categories : Lyn's Crafts News

It has been a while since I have written a blog article for Lyn’s Crafts. In our last blog, I wrote about the fact that Lyn has decided to go back to teaching and is taking courses to gain her teacher certification. Maryland has strict requirements for teacher licensing so it is taking her awhile to get everything she needs. In the meantime, she got a job as a contractor working with our local school system as a Para-Educator, assisting teachers with kids that have special needs.

In addition to her work as a Para-Educator she still works part time at one of the local stores while continuing her education at our local community college. And yes, driving is still a challenge.

So, has Lyn given up on her crochet and operating Lyn’s crafts. Not at all. During the summer break from school Lyn resumed crocheting and is currently finalizing a new pattern for release. When the pattern is ready we will post it on our site.

As for me (hubby), I have had some challenges of my own. I was recently diagnosed with diabetes and have had to make some life style changes as well. My diet has changed and I am back in the gym trying to work off some of my tummy. Now that my diabetes is controlled I am feeling much better and hence the renewed Lyn’s Crafts activity. I am planning to post new pictures of our yarns and crochet items and resume working on my Lyn’s Craft Photography creatives as well.

As summer transitions to fall and school resumes, the kids are not looking forward to waking up early, we plan to be more consistent with out Lyn’s Crafts content and sales.

In the meantime, we still have a large selection of yarns and threads available. Please continue to shop at our store and support our business. We want to thank our loyal customers who are still enjoying the high quality yarns, threads and patterns from https://lynscrafts.com.
